The Masterson Method
- Masterful Massage, LLC offers equine bodywork using the Masterson Method, using the responses of the horse to find and release tension throughout the horse's body.
- In contrast to traditional massage, I work with your horse’s nervous system, and the horse actively participates in the process. I work with your horse, rather than on your horse, listening to what he needs to improve his performance and well-being.
- This participation and interaction are what makes the method fulfilling for those who use it and transformational for the horse.

Masterson Method Certified Practitioner (MMCP)
What training and experience does an MMCP bring to the table for you and your horse?
- Studied Beyond Horse Massage by Jim Masterson
- Completed a 16-hour hands-on weekend course
- Completed a 40-hour 5-day hands-on course
- Completed a comprehensive anatomy course
- Completed 3 blocks of fieldwork, assessing 15 horses, doing 30 bodywork sessions, writing 30 8-page reports on those sessions focusing on technique, anatomy, and "putting it all together"
- Completed a one-on-one 8-hour coaching session after each block of fieldwork
- Completed the 3-day, 24-hour Certification course and evaluation
- Worked on lots and lots of horses in between!
After nearly 3 years of study and hard work, I finally did it! I'm so happy to be a part of the elite MMCP community.
